Minneapolis, MN - More than 60 people gathered January 8, at 7:30 a.m., for the monthly vigil outside the Whipple Federal Building in solidarity with immigrants facing immigration court and deportation there.

The monthly vigil is organized by the Interfaith Coalition on Immigration (ICOM). This month’s vigil was co-sponsored with the Minnesota Caravan Solidarity coalition, focusing on solidarity with the caravan of refugees from Honduras seeking asylum at the U.S.-México border. The demands of the vigil were “Asylum is a human right! No troops at the border! Refugees are welcome here!”
