U.S. warplanes strike Syrian forces

By staff

Washington, DC – The U.S. carried out air strikes against Syrian forces, May 18. According to coverage by the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), the U.S. “attacked one of the Syrian army’s military points on al-Tanf road in the Syrian Badia.”

Citing sources in the Syrian military, the report continues, “The attempt to justify this act of aggression by saying that the targeted forces failed to respond to the warning to stop advancing is completely rejected.”

“The Syrian Arab Army is fighting terrorism on its territory, and no party whatsoever has the right to determine the course and destination of the army’s operations against the terrorist organizations, mainly ISIS and al-Qaeda,” continues the report.

The U.S. military has admitted to carrying out the attack.

Since taking office, Trump has expanded the U.S. wars in Syria, Yemen, Iraq, Afghanistan and Somalia.
