Asheville, NC - 100 people joined the National Day of Action in Downtown Asheville to demand justice for Trayvon Martin, July 20.

Protesters marched to the Buncombe county courthouse behind a banner reading, “Open season, no justice” and chanting, “No justice, no peace!”

Organizers encouraged everyone to join a discussion on July 29 at 6:00 p.m. at Firestorm Cafe & Books. The event, titled, “Trayvon Martin and the Endurance of Structural Racism,” will be led by Kathryn Liss from the YWCA Asheville Stand Against Racism and George Friday from the Bill of Rights Defense Committee.
