Photos show U.S. involvement in Philippines counter-guerrilla operations

In an April 21 statement, the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) cited pictures taken by Reuters photographer Romeo Ranoco and published on the Yahoo! News website and other outlets clearly showing that so-called joint military exercises between the U.S. military and Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) are geared towards U.S. involvement in local counter-guerrilla operations in the Philippines.

The U.S. government has carried out so many wars and invasions since World War II that just listing them all would take a whole page. Most people living in the U.S. have only a vague idea of the terrible damage this imperialist government has inflicted on the world — always in the name of peace and democracy.
