Chicago, IL - Almost 30 Palestinian, Black and Latino youth marched into a packed banquet hall to open the Saturday night event of the Popular Conference for Palestinians in the U.S. The historic weekend conference on Aug. 8-10 in Chicago had over 1000 organizers, activists and community members attend from across the country. Amongst the resolutions approved for future work were a focus on the Right to Return demand, campaigns to free political prisoners held in Israeli and U.S. jails, the establishment of national youth and student networks and the mandate to establish new local committees in cities all over the U.S.
