Minneapolis, MN - Iran’s authoritative FARS News Agency is reporting the Supreme National Security Council has designated the United States Central Command as a terrorist entity, following a decision by the U.S. to put the terrorist tag on an important part of Iran’s military - the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps.

The U.S. move to designate Iran’s military as ‘terrorist’ violates international law and raised concerns about future treatment of prisoners of war.

The U.S. administration has been angered by Iran’s support for progressive and anti-imperialist movements in Yemen, Iraq, Palestine and Lebanon. Iran has also provided vital assistance to government of Syria, where the U.S. and Israel failed at their efforts to establish a puppet regime.

The statement from the Supreme National Security Council warned that Washington must take responsibility for “the dangerous consequences of its adventures.”
