March on Minnesota Republican Headquarters set for International Women’s Day

Organizers say “Stop Trump’s Attacks on Women”

Minneapolis, MN – Protesters will gather on March 8, International Women’s Day, on Mayday Plaza, 301 Cedar Avenue, in Minneapolis’s West Bank neighborhood, at 5 p.m., to demand an end to Trump’s attacks on women.

According to a statement from protest organizers, “President Trump is sexual predator and misogynist. For over 100 years, fighters for women’s liberation worldwide have been standing up to buffoons like Trump and his followers - on March 8, International Women’s Day.”

The statement continues, “In 2017, we vow to resist Trump’s attempts to enact laws and that enforce this culture of patriarchy that is a true danger to our rights, our reproductive freedom and our lives.”

The demonstration is being organized by Freedom Road Socialist Organization, and has been endorsed by the Welfare Rights Committee, MIRAC-No More Deportations Campaign, Anti-War Committee, MIRAC-UMN, Women Against Military Madness, Students for a Democratic Society - UMN, MN Committee to Stop FBI Repression.
