Los Angeles, CA - Hundreds of groups will be marching here, May 1 to continue the fight for full legalization for all and to stop the ICE and police repression against immigrants - especially Mexicans and Central Americans.

The groups participating include unions, students, community, human rights and anti-war organizations. Thousands are expected to turn out on Sunday May 1. The crowd will assemble at 10:00 a.m., on Olympic and Broadway in downtown Los Angeles. The march begins at 12:00 noon and proceed north on Broadway to the middle of the Mexican business district where a large rally will be held.

The main demands uniting the groups are “legalization now,” and for an “end to the police/ICE repression.” This repression has deported thousands of people via the ICE programs SCOMM and 287g that use the local police as ICE agents.
