University of Illinois Trustees promote tuition hike and re-segregation, deny student voices

About twenty students from the University of Illinois campuses in Chicago and Urbana-Champaign attempted to speak out at a Board of Trustees meeting, Nov. 18. The students are organizing against tuition increases and the re-segregation of higher education.

University of Illinois Students Shut Down Board of Trustees Meeting

On September 23rd, the Board of Trustees for the University of Illinois met in Urbana, on the flagship state university campus, to approve budgetary operations for fiscal year 2011. The University of Illinois has come under recent criticism for its mismanagement of University funds and mistreatment of University employees.
