Fight Back! photographer Kim DeFranco was inside Rosemary Williams' home during the Sept. 11 police raid. This is her account and photos of what took place.

Thanks! The house is still boarded and still vacant. The mortgage company had 2 - 24hr- guards for a few weeks. I heard they are gone now. I was glad I was with Rosemary but very pissed off that this had to go down. The next day, at the Obama Rally, I ran into the Chief of Police and challenaged him to not to evict homeowners. He tired to give me excuses but I said "seriously" you should! There are examples where certain law enforcements refuses to evict people.

**IMPT: Always remember to have a camera at all times espcially during high activity.

the photos are striking....

and they really give you an up close and personal of the injustices being done to ordinary citizens in communities across the country.... this needs to stop!

photos really capture the moment

Thanks Kim for capturing these striking images. This photo essay is amazing and really captures both the highs and lows of that day. And on this new website the photo display looks even better! The movement to keep Rosemary Williams in her home and to fight to stop foreclosures & evictions has been an amazing struggle that I've been honored to have even played a small role in. The struggle continues...

I agree - the photos are incredible, as was the struggle to fight the #eviction. Is there anything new on this story since the eviction happened?
