New York, NY – Over 120 people gathered here in New York City’s Grand Central Station on Jan. 20 to mark one year of struggle under President Trump.

The rally and banner drop were organized by a broad coalition of organizations, who spoke to the issues affecting people under Trump’s administration. The topics addressed included the repression of the 200 activists arrested at last year’s J20 protest, international solidarity with those targeted by U.S. wars under Trump’s administration, connecting Trump’s racist ideology and policies to police brutality and gentrification, and the need for revolution to end the system that created Trump.

All the speakers stressed the importance of continued organizing in local communities to fight against Trump’s attacks.

The groups represented included Workers World Party, Freedom Road Socialist Organization, BAYAN USA, People’s MTA, Committee to Stop FBI Repression-NYC, Samidoun Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network, NYC Shut It Down, and many others.

The rally ended with a march out of Grand Central Station.
