Patras, Greece - The first day of the big March Against Unemployment, which will travel 220 km from Patras to Athens concluded with enormous success on April 4.
The demonstrators left Patras with a big celebration of thousands of people and reached the city of Aigio, where they were welcomed by the people of the city, who expressed their support. Many of them joined the march.
In addition to the great support by the unions, the workers and people of Greece, international support for the March Against Unemployment is growing as the demonstrators continue their long journey.
The marchers are demanding full time jobs for all people; with full rights – a universal demand of the class unions.
