Minneapolis, MN - 12,000 nurses began a one-day strike here June 10. The main issues are pensions and staffing levels that ensure patient safety. The strike has attracted widespread public backing and large numbers of supporters have joined the picket lines.

As a fellow health care
As a fellow health care professional, I completely agree with the nurses. I have also been a patient at one of these hospitals and understand what their concerns are. I recieved excellent care, but you could tell that the poor nurses were tired and worn out. The patient load on each nurse is too much for one nurse.
