Letters to the Editor Dear editor, Reading about the recent lockout of Boilermakers Local 484 at the Celanese plant in central Illinois reminds me of other strikes going on in this country. These large multinational corporations do not care about working people or their families. All they care about is money and profits. They are capitalist corporations that live off the misery of the working people. What is also bad about this is that they send a paramilitary type goon squad into the community to terrorize the workers and their families. It comes as no surprise that the sheriff’s department would side with the capitalist corporation because they always do. The police have never sided with workers or their families in any strike ever. Remember the Sago mine disaster. International Coal sent a goon squad into Sago, West Virginia that night to repress the families of the dead miners. The company needs to be held accountable for what happened in that coal mine. That coal company murdered those coal miners. The multinational corporations only care about money and profits. They do not care about the people. They cut benefits, wages and vacation time and then make people work ten to twelve hours a day, seven days a week. Something needs to be done about this. What needs to happen someday is that the workers need to take over the corporation and take over the factory floor and do away with the bosses and CEOs. If the police or National Guard come out that is the time for the workers and the people to attack because the revolution has begun and the cops and National Guard are not going to stop it. People are tired of being oppressed and it is time to stop the oppression of poor and working people and their families in this country. Sincerely,
