Los Angeles: One Million March for Immigrants' Rights

Los Angeles, CA - More than one million people demonstrated here March 25, demanding an end to the attacks on immigrants. The march came in response to anti-immigrant measures being debated in Congress, and to date it was the largest show of strength in one of the most powerful waves of protest in U.S. history. On March 27, walkouts took place in high schools across California. Huge demonstrations, in some cases accompanied by work stoppages, have taken place in Denver, Milwaukee, Phoenix and throughout Georgia.
