Massive Protest in Calcutta, India  

Calcutta, India - Amidst incessant rain Jan. 28, 100,000 workers of Socialist Unity Centre of India marched a 6.5 kilometer route to the Governor's House to protest against price-hikes, liberalization and corporate globalization of the central and state governments of India. 20 million signatures against such anti-people policies were submitted to the governor of the West Bengal state at the end of the march.
