Protests Slam Bush Inauguration

Minneapolis, MN - More than 300 people demonstrated here Jan. 20 to reject the policies of the Bush administration, particularly the war on Iraq. It was one of many protests held around the country that coincided with the inauguration of George Bush.

In Washington D.C., tens of thousands joined protests. Police kept many away from Bush’s parade route. One demonstrator, Joe Isobaker of Chicago, stated, “The next four years will be full of intense battles to beat back the attacks of Bush and company. By protesting here we are sending the message that we are against the occupations of Iraq and Palestine, along with everything else the Bush administration stands for.”
