Dear Readers, Correspondents and Distributors of Fight Back!

Thanks to your hard work, the distribution of Fight Back! hit a new record these past few months. Through your efforts, nearly 7000 copies of the newspaper and nearly 9000 copies of the special supplement on the U.S. war in Colombia found their way into the hands of people all over the United States.

In Texas, members of League of United Latin Americans took the paper out. Thousands of copies of the supplement on Colombia were distributed at the demonstration against the School of the Americans at Fort Benning, Georgia. Fight Back! supplements were also given out at the presidential inauguration protests in Washington D.C. All of this was on top of the regular distribution taking place in hundreds of workplaces, schools, and neighborhoods.

Starting with this issue of Fight Back! we will begin regular distribution in San Francisco.

Supporters of this paper will be interested to know that portions of the last issue of Fight Back! were translated and distributed in Russian and French. We have also launched an internet new service, which reaches activists and organizers all over the world.

While we applaud these successes, there is more work to be done. Specifically, we need more subscribers. A larger subscription base is the only possible road to a paper that is larger and that comes out more often. We urge every supporter of this paper to join us in this effort. Together, we can build the newspaper that builds the peoples struggle!
