Build the Paper that Builds the People's Struggle

Dear Readers, Correspondents, and Distributors of Fight Back!

Over the past 3 months, more than 10,000 copies of Fight Back! have been distributed across the U.S. This is an important step forward for a newspaper that covers and serves the people's struggle.

More than 4000 copies of the paper were distributed at the powerful protests that rocked the Democratic and Republican Party national conventions. Welfare Rights activists took out the paper at the Million Family March in Washington D.C.. As a result we have obtained more subscribers. We have also been contacted by more activists who will help build Fight Back!'s circulation.

With this issue, we will begin the distribution of Fight Back! in Texas. We have prepared a special supplement on the U.S. war in Colombia that will go out at the Shut Down the School of the Americas protest in Fort Benning, GA.

But there is still more work to be done. Specifically, we need to expand our subscription base. We are calling on readers and distributors of this paper to find 200 new subscribers over the next 3 months!

The goal of 200 new subscribers is doable. It is the road to building a larger newspaper that comes out more often. By making this effort at this time, we can grow a newspaper that is national in scope, that addresses the burning issues of our times, and that takes a clear-cut stand for working and oppressed people.

The people's struggle is growing. So is this newspaper. Join us in helping to achieve the goal of 200 subscribers over the next 3 months.
